Where are Roost North vacation rentals located?

Our 9 vacation rentals are located in and around Traverse City, Michigan. We have properties in downtown Traverse City (The Commons, Midtown), the North Boardman neighborhood with TART Trail access, Holiday Hills on East Bay, and Lake Ann near Sleeping Bear Dunes and Leelanau wine country.

How far are your rentals from Sleeping Bear Dunes?

Our properties range from 20-45 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The Roost A-Frame in Lake Ann is closest at about 20 minutes, while our downtown Traverse City properties are approximately 35-45 minutes from the Dune Climb and Glen Haven beach.

Can I walk to restaurants and shops from your rentals?

Yes! Our Commons properties (Historic Hearth and Spiral Sanctuary) and Midtown Square are fully walkable to downtown Traverse City restaurants, shops, and the State Theater. The North Boardman properties are a short drive or bike ride to downtown via the TART Trail.

Do your rentals have access to the TART Trail?

Several of our properties have direct or nearby TART Trail access. The Trailside Townhouse, TART Trail Townhouse, and Boardman Basecamp are steps from the trail, perfect for biking to downtown TC, the beaches, or exploring the 60+ mile trail network.

What's included in your vacation rentals?

All Roost North properties include fully-equipped kitchens, high-speed WiFi, smart TVs, quality linens, washer/dryer, and complimentary toiletries. Are your rentals near Leelanau County wineries?

Absolutely! Northern Michigan's wine country is easily accessible from all our properties. The Roost A-Frame in Lake Ann is just 10-15 minutes from Suttons Bay wineries. Downtown properties are 20-30 minutes from Old Mission Peninsula and Leelanau Peninsula wine trails.

What's the best time to visit Traverse City?

Traverse City is a year-round destination. Summer (June-August) offers beaches, festivals, and warm weather. Fall (September-October) brings stunning colors and harvest season at local farms and wineries. Winter provides skiing at nearby resorts. Spring features cherry blossoms and fewer crowds.

Currently, our properties are not pet-friendly to ensure the comfort of all guests, including those with allergies. We recommend local pet boarding services if you're traveling with furry friends.

How far is Traverse City from major airports?

Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) is right in Traverse City, just 10-15 minutes from our properties. Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is about 4 hours south. Grand Rapids Airport (GRR) is approximately 2.5 hours away.
