Fresh Daily: Summertime Farmers Markets

Every single day of the week, there's at least one farmer's market operating in Northern Michigan. Each market introduces a different set of local farmers—and their fresh-from-the-earth produce—to the people. When you visit one of these markets, you're getting a glimpse into the local food movement: how food is grown, sold and prepared in the Land of Delight.
Not only are the markets bursting with juicy fruits and leafy greens, but you'll also find heritage breed meats, artisan cheeses (made from cow, goat and plant-based milks!), baked goods in every variety, flowers and at some of the stalls, local artwork. These weekly markets are one of the best ways to support Northern Michigan makers and food purveyors while you're here—and to take a bit of your vacation home, too.
